Chareetha Reddy Aella, a  25-year-old Hyderabad based IT techie was killed in a road mishap in Michigan, after suffering from severe injuries. The incident took place at Ottawa County's Crockery Township, around 9 pm on Sunday. Chareetha was declared brought dead at the Mercy Health Hackley Campus in Muskegon.

Chareetha, who was a Secunderabad native, was a software engineer working for an IT firm in the US. In the accident, along with her three others were injured but survived the tragic mishap and are currently being treated in the hospital.  Coming into the accident details, the four friends were travelling in a Toyota vehicle and it had pulled over to the right side with its blinkers activated.

However, a man, who was driving a plush car, was travelling on the right lane before it lost control and crashed into the Toyota. That man was believed to be under the influence of alcohol. Unfortunately, Chareetha who was sitting in the rear seat received the maximum impact of the crash. Currently, the hospital is making arrangements to donate her organs.

Two years ago, Chareetha had documented her wish to donate organs to the needy in case of tragedy. As per her wish, her family members have decided to donate the organs in the United States itself. "The doctors would harvest heart and other organs," one of Chareetha's cousins told.

Her remains are being brought to Hyderabad for the final rites. For the same, her friends in the US have started an online campaign to raise money to bring her body back to Hyderabad. Chareetha completed her graduation at GITAM in Hyderabad and later moved to the US to finish her Masters. She was working as a software developer in the US.
