Corona Lockdown: Hostels shut? Students panic

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for national wide lockdown has created a huge panic among students in Hyderabad. As 95 percent of students reside in hostels and Paying Guests (PG) in Hyderabad, many hostel managements have asked the students to vacate the hostel immediately.

With no other option the students dialed the cops and informed about this. The Hyderabad police have asked the students to reach the local police station and are giving 'No Objection Certificate' (NOC) to students and allowing them to leave the city.

Despite the police's call, still several hostels are demanding the students to vacate and are also denying food and other facilities. As the issue reached big, the police have talked to the hostel management and ensured about the supply of essential commodities.

IT minister KTR too tweeted about this. 'Request all Hostel/PG managements in Hyderabad city to NOT evict anyone & cause undesirable panic,' wrote KTR.

Students who got NOC have started to their respective destinations on their own bike. However, they faced one more hurdle at Andhra and Telangana border. The AP police are not allowing the vehicles coming from Telangana and due to this there occurred huge traffic jam.

Students are seriously suffering to reach their homes in this Corona lockdown.
