Is Krishnam Raju Disappointed?

Is veteran film star and senior BJP leader UV Krishnam Raju disappointed with the latest appointments of the Governors for the five Indian states? It looks like yes, according to the ongoing buzz in the political circles.

The Modi-led NDA government today announced the appointment of the new Governors for Telangana, Kerala, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Maharashtra. However, the 79-year-old actor turned politician's name has been left out and naturally, the former union minister is dejected with his party's decision.

In 2017, Krishnam Raju's name was prominently mentioned by the national and vernacular media as the Governor of Tamil Nadu. However, much to the Rebel Star's disappointment even then, Maharashtra Governor C Vidyasagar Rao was given the additional charge as Tamil Nadu's interim Governor. Rao was later followed by Banwarilal Purohit.

In 2009, Krishnam Raju joined Megastar Chiranjeevi's Praja Rajyam Party and lost the Lok Sabha elections. Even though he later rejoined the BJP, it looks like Modi and the BJP think-tank are in no mood to entrust the Rebel Star with the major responsibility for the moment.
