Kiran Kumar Reddy Talks About Chandrababu's Failure

After a long silence, former CM of united AP Kiran Kumar Reddy criticised AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for not doing enough to demand Special Category Status for the state from the Central Government. "Chandrababu's fight is a failure. He chose to walk out of NDA after four years. But, he should have walked out before 4 years and should have put pressure on the Centre rather than obliging to its demands until end and then walking out ultimately," he added.

As an ally of the NDA, if TDP was not capable of getting all the promises from the Centre implemented, it is definitely the Yellow Party's own failure, he added. On the other hand, Kiran Kumar Reddy did not spare even Opposition Leader Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. "Why does Jagan go on Padayatras? What is the purpose and for how long will he be doing it? There is no direction or idea behind his walkathons," he criticised.

The Opposition Party, according to Kiran Kumar Reddy, should question the government's wrongdoings and play the role of a gatekeeper. "But YSR Congress Party wants to only create ruckus and disrupt Assembly discussions. They do not participate in the democratic process but they want to win the elections and have their government," he added.

While Kiran Kumar Reddy's criticism comes at the right time, there is still no clarity about his role in AP Congress or the party strategy for elections in Andhra Pradesh. What results will these statements reap? We are still yet to understand and a clarity may emerge once Congress decides on whether it wants to ally with TDP in AP or go solo!
