AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu is all set to take on Narendra Modi over the unfulfilled promises to Andhra Pradesh, including the Special Category Status demand at the soon to commence 4th NITI Aayog General Council meeting in New Delhi tomorrow. This will be the first meeting between Babu and Modi after the TDP cut off all ties with the BJP.
In a crucial move which may put a huge pressure on Modi, Babu met with the the chief ministers of 4 states - HD Kumaraswamy (Karnataka), Pinarayi Vijayan (Kerala), Mamata Banerjee (West Bengal) at the AP Bhavan tonight and along with them, met Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi CM) to express solidarity with him in his dharna against the Delhi L-G Governor over the IAS Officer's strike. Incidentally, all the five CMs have been staunch opponents to Modi.
Amidst reports that he will play a key role in the third front in 2019, Babu been hell-bent on bringing all the anti-Modi leaders under one roof. For the first time, a large number of anti-Modi leaders, including CBN, Sonia and Rahul Gandhi, Mamata Banerjee, Arvind Kejriwal, Mayawati and Akhilesh Yadav shared the same dais at HD Kumaraswamy's swearing-in ceremony in Bengaluru last month.
Babu will be pointing out Modi's failures with Demonetization, GST, Cash crunch at the banks and ATMs, petrol and diesel price hike and discrepancies in MSP for agricultural products and crop insurance schemes in front of Modi at the NITI Aayog's GC tomorrow.
