After his younger brother Pawan Kalyan took an active plunge in politics recently, it seems Megastar Chiranjeevi too is making a comeback to political arena. He will soon be seen campaigning for the Congress party in Karnataka ahead of the Assembly polls in the sate.
It is known that Chiranjeevi has been inactive on political front ever since the state bifurcation, despite still being a Rajya Sabha MP. He even didn't campaign for Congress in either of the Telugu states in 2014 Assembly elections.
Surprisingly, the charismatic actor has now given his nod to campaign for Congress in Karnataka for at least a week. Karnataka PCC President Dinesh Gundu himself has declared this to media. It is heard that the party high command has asked Chiru to campaign in only those areas where there is sizable Telugu population so as to bank on his huge popularity to get votes.
Chiru's latest decision has kickstarted a fresh debate in Telugu states' politics. Will the Megastar campaign in the Telugu states too ahead of the 2019 Assembly polls? If he does, how can it impact the fortunes of Congress?
Meanwhile, the upcoming Assembly elections in Karnataka are crucial to both BJP and Congress as the result will have a profound impact on the Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2019.
