DL Ravindra Reddy axed from state cabinet

Finally, Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy axed his detractor in his cabinet state Health minister DL Ravindra Reddy on Saturday. Within 24 hours after his meeting with AICC President Sonia Gandhi and other leaders in New Delhi, the Chief minister removed DL Ravindra Reddy from the cabinet and the letter has been forwarded to Governor ESL Narasimhan for his nod.

DL, elected from Jammalamadugu assembly constituency in Kadapa district, has been  charged with resorting to anti-government and anti-party activities in last one year. Speculations are rife that two other cabinet ministers - state Endowment minister C Ramachandraiah and Investment and Infrastructure minister G Srinivasa Rao will also be sacked for indulging in anti-party activities.

It is now established that Kiran Reddy is allowed by the party high command to make his line clear for 'purification' of the cabinet. DL was the second minister removed from state cabinet after P Shankar Rao who was also faced the same fate for attacking on Chief minister's attitude and his functioning.
