'Joker' Starts Streaming On Amazon Prime

One of the most talked about movie in recent times is 'Joker' which got rated by the likes of Samantha Akkineni as the best film ever they have watched in their lives. The film has impressed audiences across the world and over a billion dollars box office collection is a testimony of that, though many criticised it for its portrayal of mentally sick people.

Finally, after a long wait, Amazon Prime Video has brought the film to India as it started to stream on the app from today (April 20th). When the film was released in India on October 2nd last year, it collected huge money and applause as well.

Later it got nominated for Oscars in many categories but managed to win Best Actor for Joaquin Phoenix and Best Original score for Hildur Gudnadottir at the 2020 Academy Awards.

As many of Indian audiences are waiting to catch it up on OTT, Amazon made sure that they get Joker during the lockdown times.

Directed by Todd Phillips, Joker narrated the story of a stand-up comedian (joker) Arthur Fleck, who happens to be the illegitimate son of Gotham city's mayor, Thomas Wayne. As his mental health issues escalate, his friends cheat him, boss sacks from job and mother lie to him, leading him to take up a life of criminality.
