Three Capitals: NRIs protest in US and Aus

Ever since AP CM YS Jagan hinted about 'Three Capitals' idea in AP Assembly the state is boiling. Farmers of Amaravati are protesting since nearly a month now and their agitation is getting intensified with each day passing. This agitation has crossed the borders and oceans and even Telugu NRIs are opposing the shift of capital.

In Virginia, the Telugu community hosted a rally with 'One State One Capital' slogan. Surprisingly a good number of women have taken part in this rally along with their kids. Another rally took place at Atlanta and the NRIs completely opposed the 'Three Capitals' idea without any second thought.

In Australia, supporters of TDP have appealed to the state government not to change the capital which will do a lot of injustice for farmers who have sacrificed their lands only for the sake of capital. "For five crore people, three capitals is not necessary. If this happens then a billion people of India needs at least five capitals. This will go nowhere and so we demand the government to take back their idea of three capitals," said a speaker in the protest.

The YSRCP government is expected to take a final call on Amaravati on January 18th when the cabinet will meet. On January 20th, the government has called for a special assembly meet and this is most likely to get an approval of the government's proposals.
