Box Office: December Begins With Disappointment

It's a dull start to December as movie lovers are waiting for films to take over theatres but filmmakers failing to serve them with the right dose of entertainment. Other day, four Telugu films including that of Madhanam, 90ML, Mismatch and Bhagyanagaram Veedhullo have hit cinemas, but film lovers are not satisfied by them.

Firstly Karthikeya's 90ML is super hyped and expected to connect with masses as the film has the concept of hero suffering from a syndrome where he has to drink 90ml peg three times a day. But with various cliches in the story part and poor execution, it didn't impress any sections. 90ML is not leaving audiences to want for one more peg, but they are asking for a strong tea after coming out of theatres.

Comedian Srinivas Reddy's directorial Bhagyamnagarm Veedhullo is suffering from basic execution and script flaws as the actor turned director took his own sweet time to establish every single character. With a bumpy first half, audiences are losing interest on the second half and a real comic climax will not be enough to impress them.

Aishwarya Rajesh's Mismatch trailer sounded interesting but the film is a pure mismatch to it, say critics.rn While it has a very pleasant love story, never the director succeeded in taking us the route where the lead pair are a mismatch to each other. The slow paced second half is said to be the real killer.

Madhanam movie released only in USA starring Srinivasa Sai and Bhavana Rao in lead rnroles. This movie also got mixed reviews from overseas. The film directed by Ajay Sai Manikandan and produced jointly by Divya Prasad andrn Ashok Prasad.

With all these films failing to make the best of the box office, Venky Mama should take advantage of the situation to reap benefits. So wait for next Friday.
