Asuran Remake: Can Venky Match That Intensity?

Asuran Remake: Can Venky Match That Intensity?

As Suresh Productions officially announced that they are going to do 'Asuran' movie remake in Telugu with Venkatesh, this particular Tamil film of Danush which hasn't reached Telugu theatres with the dubbed version became topic of the town. And now that the Tamil version is available on Amazon Prime, many are rushing to catch it.

Asuran is a spine-chilling crime thriller that has bloodshed all over in the wake of lower caste hero's uprising against the tyrannous upper-caste heads of a village over a parcel of land and a murder committed by hero's son. The major doubt one will get after watching this Vetrimaaran directorial is that of Venky's ability to deliver the needful through the remake.

As raw fights, running in the jungle, climbing rock mountains and other bloodthirsty action sequences form the major part of the film, a hero needs to be more physically and also mentally fit to showcase such brutality. As Venky is someone who is always associated with nice image though he did some serious films, one wonders if he could portray this violence with ease.

As Danush did a terrific job, anything less than him will not be convincing.
