Trivikram, Mahesh Afraid Of Jan 10th?

Trivikram, Mahesh Afraid Of Jan 10th?

Sankranthi festival is arriving on January 15th next year, which is on Wednesday. Whenever Sankranthi falls in the middle of the week, Tollywood filmmakers release their movies during the weekend before the festival, especially on the 9th and 10th of January.

But interestingly, Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapuramulo, the two most eagerly awaited Sankranthi biggies, have been locked for a Sunday release on January 12th. This epic clash has left Mahesh and Allu Arjun fans wondering what if the makers maintained at least one day gap between both the movies.

Some even opined that January 10th being a Friday would have been the perfect day for the release. But the actual fact is that January 10th is a dreadful day for the makers of both Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapuramulo.

Incidentally, Agnyaathavaasi, directed by Trivikram and produced by S Radhakrishna, released on January 10 last year and ended up as one of the biggest disasters in Tollywood history. Both Trivikram and S Radhakrishna have collaborated once again on Ala Vaikunthapuramulo.

On the other hand, Mahesh Babu's 1 Nenokkadine too had released on January 10 in 2014 and was a huge disaster in Mahesh's career. Anil Sunkara, who was one of the producers of 1 Nenokkadine, has also produced Sarileru Neekevvaru.

In this scenario, the makers of Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapuramulo seem to have been scared of January 10th. And with past trends showing that movies which released close to the festival turned out to be huge hits, both the teams might have skipped Jan 11th and instead decided to release their movies on the 12th. Well, sentiments certainly have their way in Tollywood.
