Karan Johar Buys Dear Comrade Hindi Rights

After Kabir Singh's blockbuster success, all eyes of Bollywood are on Vijay Deverakonda's next big film Dear Comrade which is releasing in 4 languages in South this week. This naturally drew the attention of Bollywood biggies who have been evincing interest on the film's Hindi remake rights. Telugu producers Mythri Movie Makers and BigBen Cinemas had been getting a lot of offers from Hindi makers.

Finally, the Hindi remake rights of Dear Comrade went into safe and big hands. One of India's popular filmmakers, Karan Johar, has bought the Hindi remake rights of Dear Comrade and Karan will be remaking the film under prestigious Dharma Productions. Karan said to have watched the whole film and impressed with the film in totality and come forward to buy the Hindi remake rights. Apparently, Karan is paying a fancy price to acquire the Hindi remake rights of Dear Comrade, a love story of Bobby and Lilly with several layers.

It is learnt that Karan has loved Dear Comrade, particularly, the second-half of the film. Ahead of the film's release on 26th July, Karan Johar buying the film's remake rights is certainly a big news and this is going to increase the hype surrounding the film.

The moot question is whether Vijay will also enact as Bobby in the Hindi remake? That's a million dollar question now.
