Rakshasudu Trailer : Psycho Killer

After doing high-budgeted commercial films since his debut, Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas seems to have changed his strategy. He has been doing some author-backed roles including his previous film Sita. Now,  Sai Sreenivas has donned a cop's hat for a psycho-thriller Rakshasudu.

The trailer promises a nail-biting crime thriller as the whole police battalion has launched a manhunt for a dreadful criminal who is on a killing spree. The criminal in question is a mentally retarded person and he has been killing people in a planned manner. This becomes a huge challenge to the police department. How will they trace him and what are the odds that come in their way.

Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas seems to be a perfect fit in this cop role. He looks fit. Going by trailer, it is completely Sreenivas show. Ghibran's background score seems to be complimenting and may be a big asset for the film. Anupama Parameswaran for the first time is doing a crime thriller in Telugu. And she seems to have an interesting role in the film.

Although psycho thrillers are not new and serial killers concept was already dealt by director like RGV (Anukshanam), it is the screenplay which will make a big difference. As the original Ratsasan was big success in Tamil, one has to wait and see, how the Telugu remake Rakshasudu would be received by Telugu audiences.

Directed by Ramesh Varma, the trailer is promising. Bankrolled by Koneru Satyanarayana under Havish Production, Abhishek Pictures is releasing the film world-wide on 2nd August.
