Despite being much talented and glamorous, somehow Bangalore based Priyamani hasn't got the needed push in Tollywood. She is yet to get her due though she is right now busy judging a dance show in Telugu circuits.
Reports are coming that this skilled actress will appear in the role of Telangana based folk singer Belli Lalitha. During the heights of Maoist activities in the then united Andhra Pradesh, Belli Lalitha turned a rebellious singer at the age of 19 and was brutally killed by Gangster Nayeem. She was tortured for days and her body was dismembered before being thrown in front of a police station.
We hear that a role is being crafted that is loosely based on Lalitha's life and that will be featured in Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi's Virata Parvam 1992, whose story revolves around Naxalites of Telangana in the late 80s. Already the film has other stars like Tabu bringing a new colour to it, Priyamani's arrival will add more stardust for sure.
Hope this role will give a new boost to Priyamani's career too.
