Justice Dev Kumar Khatri of the Jodhpur magistrate court had pronounced the judgement in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case convicting Salman Khan for five years jail. In what could be seen as a surprising move, he's now transferred.
Not just him, but the other judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi, who was likely to hear Salman's bail plea on Saturday was also transferred. With 87 other sessions court judges also transferred, the government maintained that it is a routine practice.
And it is being maintained that Judges in Rajasthan are usually transferred between April 15th and 30th every year and the process is pretty transparent. Anyway, the news of judge who sent Salman to jail getting transferred is going viral now.
On the other side, judge Ravindra Joshi could still hear Salman's bail petition and take a decision on it today. He has 7 days more to finish pending work before leaving. `
