As his last three films have failed at box office, Mega hero Sai Dharam Tej has pinned very high hopes on his upcoming film, "Intelligent". Speculations are now doing rounds that the film is inspired from Akkineni Nagarjuna's hit film, "Azad".
Released in 2000, Azad was a critical and commercial success. The film was later remade by Tamil star hero Vijay as 'Velayudham' in 2011.
The latest buzz in film circles is that the story line of Azad has been borrowed for Tej's "Intelligent". It is heard that writer Akula Siva has made enough changes to the screenplay to present 'Intelligent' as an original film but its story line is same as of Azad's. We however need to wait for at least the trailer to see whether the speculations are true.
Interestingly, 'Intelligent' was originally supposed to star Nagarjuna's son, Naga Chaitanya in lead role. When the producer ran into financial issues, the project was shelved for a few years before Akula Siva took the story to director VV Vinayak, who materialized the project with Sai Dharam Tej.
