Comedy King Fires On Nandi Awards Discussions

Comedy King Rajendra Prasad is known for his satirical punches when he decides to take down on certain things. Though he's away from media glare after he left Movie Artists Association president post after competition of his term, he's back with some sensational talk now.

At the press conference of his latest movie "Bewarse" where he played the father of hero, Nata Kireeti blasted some geniuses who are commenting on Telugu films. Adding that this new film of him is a different and art cinema types, he took potshots at some people.

"I've noticed during the recent Nandi Awards debates on Television where few geniuses have opined that parallel cinema is not happening here. They praised Malayalam and Marathi filmdoms encouraging such films while Telugu industry is not opening up. I'm very sorry sir, being a Nandi award winner who got almost 9-10 statuettes for parallel films like Mudda Mandaram, Aa Naluguru and Me Sreyobhilashi, I've to say, first we have to learn to respect ourselves. NTR, ANR, Krishna and Sobhanbabu and others have done many parallel films. Please learn that before you comment" he said.

As Rajendra Prasad opened up the Nandi Awards debates, many wondered that he will speak about the jury's decisions and takes sides. But his comments are restricted to those who have spoken about Telugu films in a debate.
