If we keep the 10 crores loss incurred to "Jai Lava Kusa" distributors after the film managed to collect 75+ crore share from box-office against a target of 86 crores, it's still a big hit. Had the makers controlled the selling rates of the film, it would have been a profitable venture for all the distributors involved.
Coming to our discussion, director KS Ravindra aka Bobby who carved out such a brilliant character for Jr NTR to showcase his performance, is yet to sign his next. Sometime back it is rumoured that he's teaming up with Allu Arjun, but later it turned out that he is going to direct his debut hero Raviteja. There is no clarity over the both.
At the same time, other rumours have erupted that he may direct Gopcihand as well in a stylish cop thriller. One wonders what makes a director of a big commercial film still searching for a hero to agree to star in his next.
The likes of Puri Jagan and Sukumar easily pick films much before they wrap their present one. Seems like things are not becoming that easy for younger generation directors like KS Ravindra.
