'Marriage is fixed. Bride's name is confidential'

The former and last Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Nallari Kiran Kumar Reddy, is all set to join the BJP. Kiran said to have got consent from BJP national president Amit Shah, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expected to take the plunge of Saffron party soon. However, Kiran's date of joining the party hasn't been made official yet.

Kiran has participated in an event in a Panchayati in Gurramkonda Mandal of Chittoor district on Wednesday where he actively interacted with the locales and greeted them name by name. When his supporters have asked him on the future course of action, Kiran quipped by saying, "Marriage is fixed. Bride's name is confidential. As soon as the wedding date is fixed, you'll all get the wedding invitation for sure." This has once again kicked storm about his political comeback. While speculations are rife that Kiran would join TDP, YSRCP or Congress or BJP, we reliably learnt that Kiran is prepping up to join BJP.

Kiran Kumar Reddy had been strong loyalist to Congress Party. His father and grandfather were strong loyalists to Congress. His father Amaranath Reddy was a minister in PV Narasimha Rao cabinet When Narasimha Rao was the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh then. Amaranath Reddy was considered as close to late Indira Gandhi, the former Prime Minister. However, Congress' decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh hasn't gone well with Kiran Kumar Reddy and he was forced to take a stand against the party and quit the party. Kiran had served as Speaker during the regime of late YS Rajasekhar Reddy and subsequently became the CM after Rosaiah stepped down.

After he quit Congress, he floated his own political outfit Jai Samaikyandhra Party (JSP) but the party failed miserably in the 2014 general Assembly elections in the successor Andhra Pradesh. Since then, Reddy had been away from media glare and was staying in Bangalore. Apparently, Kiran has been in touch with top brass of BJP since long time and a top industrialist is reportedly lobbying for Kiran and finally got the consent. With the joining of Kiran in BJP is almost official, looks like new political equation is expected to emerge in the truncated state of AP. This has come exactly after BJP snapped its ties with Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan who had rallied for TDP-BJP combo in 2014 polls.
