Akkineni Nagarjuna who is basking on the hat trick hits will next be working with senior director K Raghavendra Rao for a devotional film Baba Hathi Ram Ji, a biopic on the godman Hathi Ram Baba who was a great devotee of lord Venkateswara. The movie is likely to go on floors soon.

Latest we heard is popular Hindi TV actor Sourabh Raaj Jain will play lord Venkateswara in the flick. The TV artist is popular for his devotional roles in TV serials such as- Jai Shri Krishna and Mahabharat where he played Lord Sri Krishna. He played the role of Lord Vishnu in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev. Hence, it is right choice for picking Sourabh for the role of Lord Balaji.

Earlier there were reports that, yesteryear actor Suman will portray the Lord Balaji role. Nonetheless, latest reports suggest that, young actor Sourabh Raaj has replaced him for the role. JK Bharavi, known for the films Annamayya and Sri Ramadasu, is writing the script for Baba Hathi Ram Ji.

Baba Hathi Ram was a north Indian settled down in Tirupati. The godman used to worship the main deity daily and many myths say that Lord Balaji himself used to play dice with Baba. Baba had also constructed a mutt near the temple.
